DADDY DO OVER, in analogy to "Mommy-Makeover", is becoming more and more popular among men.
However, unlike Mommy-Makeover which aims to correct the body changes in women who have given birth, Daddy-Do-Over is aimed at those men, usually over 30 years of age, whose lifestyle and time have already begun to leave their marks on them. These are men who due to professional or family obligations, do not manage to take care of themselves as much as they should (eg proper nutrition, fitness). As a result, they do not like what they see in the mirror and want to change one or more parts of their body.
Because it has the advantage that allows the combination of 2, 3 or more surgeries at the same time, so that the person can correct more imperfections at one surgery and with the same recovery time. It is no longer taboo for a man to take care of themselves and turn to a plastic surgeon to correct their imperfections, boosting their self-confidence.
The surgeries that can usually be combined in a Daddy-Do-Over procedure, are liposuction and abdominoplasty, along with the correction of gynecomastia (problem that affects 1 in 3 men) or some surgery on the face (rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery, facelift).
The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) reports that breast reduction surgery in men, had increased by almost 50% between the years 2014 and 2018, making it the second most common cosmetic surgery among men.
As men get older, the likelihood of developing gynecomastia increases. This excess breast tissue and fat in the breast - as a result of an imbalance between testosterone and estrogen - can be aggravated by certain medications or lifestyle factors.
Abdominal Liposuction & Abdominoplasty
Over the years, fat tends to accumulate around the waist. With less time for exercise and the lack of proper nutrition, most men are unable to lose the stubborn fat and they turn to surgery to achieve their goals.
In addition, in cases of severe weight loss, the abdomen may become loose and saggy. In this case, abdominoplasty is the only way.
Men today are increasingly looking for invasive and non-invasive facial rejuvenation procedures, such as e.g. eyelid surgery and Botox.
